We left Mumbai eleven years apart, met on paths shaped by education and family, married in 2011, and are now choosing how our shared life can be useful.
Why a shared we
This is personal before it is institutional.
Neti Neti is the public expression of our collective will. It grows from Nishant's work in education and leadership, Neeti's experience of education as a family inheritance, and the life and values we have built together.
Neeti's parents gave their three children an education they had not been able to pursue themselves. Her father, Janak Bhayani, saw fluent English and graduate study as tools his children could carry anywhere. Neeti carried that investment from an MA in English Literature at the University of Mumbai to graduate study at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Nishant is more likely to ask what could be possible. Neeti is more likely to ask what another person needs.
Together, we want to put resources in responsible relationship with people already doing consequential work, and to remain close enough to learn from the result.
A question Nishant keeps returning to
We have enough.
Enough does not mean every question is resolved. It means we can begin now, stay selective, learn in public, and choose what our resources will serve.
